You just smoke em. They gradually darken from the smoke and the oils in
your hand. A little like a meer. Plus, the feel really nice.

Also, after smoking my naked coral Tinsky for a week, I think they may
breath better and smoke drier. This could be entirely in my head, but
this pipe builds up minimal moisture, even though it has no cake to
speak of.
