Good luck in class Christopher. My oldest is going to be starting College in
the Fall. He wants to study Engineering at University of Toledo. A general
good rule of thumb with storing aromatics is that "if you can smel it you're
losing something. Store it in any number of glass jars with good seals and
you'll be OK. These same jars will work well for aging too. To age
something, first pick a tobacco that ages well.Set it and forget it. I have
a number of 500 gram boxes of Best Brow, Full Virginia Flake and Bob's Flake
stored away in a humidor I built in about 1993. Seals tightly and does a
fine job. Every 6 months or so, I check the interior and add a little
distilled water to a credo Precision 70 humidifier I have in the top. I try
and store long term on the dry side. Less problems that way IMHO. Kep the
tobacco you choose in a dark, dry, cool spot away from sunlight.
This link has some good info on all things pipe and tobacco, including aging
the weed.

Good luck!
