The problem is that if that frigging draw hole is to high there´s
almost now way to build bottom cake at all to harden the mess, it will
stay soggy. In the past I mixed up all kinds of pipemud to cure some
smaller problems (honey based, waterglass, chamotte), but I´m looking
forward to experiment with something like clay or or harvard cement
with some filler that would add porosity.
I just don´t have a clue as to how a bent is supposed to smoke right
and what would be considered a healthy position of the drawhole.
Where are the experts ?
