I think Bjarne's are decent pipes but not the best value. I have had a
couple of mid-priced Bjarnes: one has two pretty obvious fills and has
trouble passing a pipe cleaner without a firm twist. I should have
noticed both faults when I bought it but didn't. The other was OK but
both pipes are on the heavy side and are not as comfortable in the
mouth... I prefer light weight pipes and thin mouthpieces.
Even though the Bjarne's are hand made, I think they are inferior to
machine made Stanwells and WO Larsens and even Georg Jensens, all in the
same price range as Danish pipes go.
