Hmmm; never had a problem ordering over many years now...

I've always had trouble. It used to take 10 seconds
for any click to respond. Over the years, that 10 seconds
has expanded to a full two minutes. I'm not exaggerating.
I e-mailed their tech guy a few years ago, and got a form
response asking me what error message I was getting. "None"
was the answer.

Then there was the hype about the new (and uglier and stupider)
website. I held out hope that it would load faster. But it
was incrementally worse. I e-mailed the tech guy again last
month but got no response.

I presume that they're trying to write something or launch
something unnecessary on my computer, and one of my blockers
is stopping them. I don't give Radio Shack my zip code or
phone number and I'm not letting JR Cigars write all over
my harddrive. Nobody else does it, so it doesn't need to be
done.

While I'm on a roll: I've noticed that JR's specials have
gone downhill the last year. I get the impression that
they're just about to file bankruptcy. Last time I looked,
most of the freebies were rolls of novelty toilet paper.
They changed their shipping policy to $8 flat rate. That
evidently was a huge mistake because it dropped to $5
right away. They look and act desparate, so I'm surprised
they insist on writing on my harddrive before they take
my money.
