There is a shortage of specialists in some parts of the country. The Canadian system is not perfect, and one of the pressures it faces is US recruiters trying to lure away medical school graduates.

Yeah, it's not that hard to grab the good ones when you can offer them a position in the best health-care system in the world and to actually be paid something close to what they're worth.

Don't worry, as the US system becomes more & more socialized, all of that will come to an end. Soon, you can enjoy the same level of health-care you grew up with right here in the U.S.ofA.

The real issue is your rabid mistrust of your own government.

It turns out that I give the US government far more trust than they deserve, and they continue to piss it away. It's a slow evolution, but they prove themselves untrustworthy X amount and I lower my trust for them 0.9X amount, hoping against hope that maybe they'll earn it back.


Go ahead, ask me how that's working out for me. ;)
