Yes, if you make the leap that Germany and Russia were atheist in toto,
rather than just as a national policy in Russia.
Germany, including Hitler, was Catholic.  Russia: Russian Orthodox.
Would you classify the USoA as atheist?

I'm not sure. But the Nazis used the Catholic Church to help them in
their quest for power. I'm sure they abandoned the Church later on.
