That is good advice. It's no fun to be stuck with 25 of something you
don't like. I picked up a few 5-packs from jrcigars. Looking forward to
trying them. Thanks for the help!

PUR53 PUNCH ROTHSCHILD 4.50 x 50 $12.75
LGCG5 LA GLORIA CUBANA CORONA GORDA 6.00 x 52 $16.50
HMR5 HOYO DE MONTERREY ROTHSCHILD 4.50 x 50 $12.00
EXEP5 EXCALIBUR EPICURE 5.25 x 50 $18.75

A nice sampling.

FWIW, I'm a huge fan of LGC-Serie-R, which are a very different flavor profile subgrouping of LGC.

Also, for cheap smokes, JR's GPECC[-ES] are quite good, as are many of the Consuegra line, which are 2nds (though you can barely tell any flaws!) of many of the brands already suggested at often less than half the price.

I also like the JR Ultimate. (*NOT* Alternate! Google this group for nasty reviews of the Alts.)

Hatuey makes some great cigars, too, although I don't have their contact info handy (family run operation with stores in Reno, home of HARD.)

For something milder, I like the Vegas De Santiago, a Costa Rican/Nicaraguan co-op grower-owned shop with several nice lines that manage mild but still good flavor. Rudy, the proud and excitable VdS sales guy got into a bit of a tiff with a few folks here when they were first getting started, and was run off, but he's a heck of a nice guy (reminds me of Omar, only Costa Rican :)

Also, I know I'm late answering, but I'm a huge fan of this humidor:

Advertised 300 count, I've had well over 130 cigars in it with a little room left over. (Currently, it's running in the ~120-ish range.) It's pretty, it's solidly made, it's reasonably priced. I got mine from a different vendor, but this model is available all over the place. It was the first and one of the very few things that Uncle Grumpy & I agreed on. (Not that that means anything to you, but getting Unc to agree to anything and/or say anything nice about anything was something of an accomplishment. ;)

A "great" review is one with the name of the cigar before the review text in the body of the post. :)
