And, while I was all bitchy about Bush when he trampled the
constitution (esp 4th amend), Obama's promise to "make it better",
followed by his making things "better" for the police state and far
worse for citizens is absolutely crazy-making.

I don't think we can pin all this cloak & dagger crap on the (R)s, as
the left would like to. The main difference is that the spying (R)s
say "damned straight I'm spying on you", while the anti-constitution
(D)s say "oh no -- nothing to see here, move along. Hey, look!
Bush/Reagan/Nixon is burning a flag over there -- what a bigot!"

I dunno. It doesn't matter which party. They all pull the same douchebag
maneuvers once they get into office.
