After 15 years, my beloved coffee maker has died.
Anyone have a good experience with the current models? Seems every one
other then $$$BUNN$$$ is Chinese 'chit.
I'm looking for a 10-12 cup, and not willing to spend more than about
$75-80 street price. Should be programmable at the least. Other bells
and whistles are never used.
Those who have recommended coffee makers with thermal pots, rather than
glass-and-hot-pads are right on. My old (almost 15 years as well) faithful
is a Krups, with a thermal pot. I prefer that over a hotpad model
Having said that, I have purchased 2 modern Mr. Coffee "hot pad style" units
for use in "occasional" homes -- one in AZ, and one in MI. Didn't want to
spend a lot for something that would only be used a handful of times a year.
Each makes surprisingly good coffee!
