While my house sits a little higher than my neighbors, I still had
some minor flooding. There was water on the kitchen floor, and in the
carpet in front of the door to the back yard.

My neighbors weren't so lucky. Just across the street from me, they
had up to 2 feet of water standing in their homes, and one of the
neighbor kids was swept away in the flood waters running through their
front yards. He was rescued right away, but it was a scary few
minutes.

I've never seen anything like it this close before.

Wow!! We got 3-4" earlier this year and I thought that was something.
