Thanks for the welcome... and white spots on wrapper?

Hi all,

I'm back from my intro post a couple nights ago. To answer a couple questions scattered in there...

I live in Northern California - Sonoma County.

Despite the cigarette background, I definitely don't inhale the cigar smoke.

I did notice the off-topic/political talk in the newsgroup which usually raises red flags but the posts seem pretty well segregated. Not too worried about trolls - not easily agitated by anonymous internet posters.

But thanks again for the warm reception!

Have a question. Just tried one of the (Gurkha) Sherpa Cafe toros I received in my last cigarbid order. The 5 pack ran me $8 including shipping, which was good they were that cheap because it wasn't particularly good. Bitter without much flavor. I wouldn't throw them out but I certainly got what I paid for.

But my real question: the cigar is a "dark Connecticut" wrapper and I noticed the head/cap had quite of few small white dots. Not dust (plume or bloom?) that if I understand is desirable, but actual raised dots, but only concentrated from the cap to the label. Cigar acne? Rest of the wrapper was quite smooth, if not a little veiny.

Is this a common trait for this type of wrapper or is it a sign of inferior quality? I don't see this trait on the remaining four.

Thanks!

- Steve
