REVIEW: Cusano churchill 18 yr maduro

Cusano 18 yr maduro
Churchill (7.5x50)
Medium bodied
Gift from forever ago -- sorry I don't remembrer source :\
Suspected age: The label said it was aged 18 years before I got it, 5 yrs ago.
$95.95/18 at CIgarsInternational.com (nada)

Quite an enjoyable cigars with a pleasant, slightly nutty, finish. I probably wouldn't fork-over $5.33 ea for them, but I've not bought a box in a while, so maybe that's what cigars cost, now-a-days...

I was rearranging the gift-idor (moving certain cigars into the new LAdC humidor I won in raffle at CCCCC :) and came across this, thought "geeze, I've had this FOREVER, and it was 18 yrs old before I got it!" and decided that the tobacco dog needed a walk and a cigar. So we did.

It was well constructed (no surprise), and had a great pre-light aroma. I managed to snip, toast and light it without injuring anyone, so considered that a "win." From the initial draws, I could tell I was going to like this one and, as I continued, it did not disappoint. Some might call this cigar "unidimensional" but I've always felt that, if it's a flavor you like, who cares?! And it was, so I didn't :)

Now that it's done, I like the slightly sweet, slightly nutty smell that the smoke has left on my face. Aww heck -- you know, for $100 a box, I probably WOULD put this on my "get some" list. Lord knows I've bought much crappier cigars, and you only go around once, eh?

(Once per revolution, I mean. But I'm thinking I might not come back as something capable of holding a cigar... :\ )

I'd give this one a solid 3 (of 4) matchsticks and put it on my "replace some of my less-great boxes with these, when they run out" list.

A "great" review is one with the name of the cigar before the review text in the body of the post. :)
