My 74 year old mother had knee replacement surgery on Tuesday. She
is
doing
great, had a splendid surgeon and is recovering at a very nice
Kaiser
hospital in the Bay Area.

All thanks to socialized medicine - aka Medicare.

Best damn thing we ever did in this country.

When you see her next, tell her: "You're welcome" from me.

OK, I will. And from me, too. Cuz we all pay taxes. When your mom
needs
surgery, she'll get it and not have to suffer and you won't have to go
bankrupt. All because we take care of ourselves when we take car of
others.

See, I'd take care of my mom regardless of whether she had Medicare or
not. I wouldn't even ask you to do it.

Your right. I'd kill her and cook her if we didn't have Medicare.
That's
what we libs do. If you want, I can send you a check for the 3/4 of a
cent
her surgery cost you. Email me your snaily.

Paul

Almost forgot. Your health care is paid for by taxpayers. Be sure to
send
them all a thank you letter, will ya?

No it isn't. We're off-budget. Not a nickel of taxpayer money goes
either to my salary or benefits. :)

So the money to pay you is from what, borrowed Chinese money? Then thank
the taxpayers in China. Unless your pay is privately funded, it is off
budget only for the purpose of hiding debt and other liabilities. Which the
states do on a routine basis. So your money is not taxpayer funded today,
but it will be tomorrow. You'd have made a great accountant.
