I just think when you give so much decision and power to a large
population it could lead to anarchy. I could be wrong though.

The decision making is vested in INDIVIDUALS making decisions for
THEMSELVES, rather than bureaucrats making them for the population at large.

And just how in the hell would that lead to anarchy?

It's a legitimate concern. Marc is worried that. if individual A makes decisions about his life and individual B makes decisions about HIS life, everyone will be making contradictory decisions and anarchy will ensue.

I'm not sure, but I think the part that he's misisng is that each person only makes decisions about THEMSELVES. No one makes decisions about another WITH THE SOLE EXCEPTION that the government makes sure that no one infringes on another's ability to live his own adult life.

Me parking my car on my lawn: LIberty.

Me parking my car on YOUR lawn: Hitting (I'm damaging your grass.) Or stealing (I'm taking YOUR parking space :D), if you prefer.

You bitching that my car parked on the lawn makes the neighborhood look like hell: a matter to be settled between us adults, without government interferance. (Unless we've entered into a contract that says everyone agrees it's ok to park on the lawn and now you're harrassing me, in which case that's "hitting" again.)
