Sure is. Kind of like Barack when he was campaigning. Well, campaigning
*before* he became President. He's still campaigning, but now people are
expecting him to deliver on all of his (many of them conflicting)
promises.
It's always more difficult to win the popularity contest when you are
actually trying to accomplish something. Ask any person who has ever been
President, I'm sure that they will agree.
Reagan stayed pretty popular while he was President. :)
Actually, no, he did not. This same time in Reagan's presidency he was at
48% in the polls. Most polls put Obama at 50%. And Reagan's polls were
rock bottom by the time he left office. Clinton by contrast left office at
near 60% approvale despite impeachment and years of repug witch hunts and
cooked up scandals.
