I know! Despite The Onion being a satire news site...I'm sure it's a
real story because it's accurate for about 75% of the current

You need to get out more.
And you Luddites need to smarten up.
You need to learn what words mean before you use them. Calling someone
who has made their living for the last 30 years as a computer
programmer is not a good application of the word "Luddite".
And you need to broaden your understanding of historical figures and
movements before you mouth off in public.
Although "Luddite" is generally used in modern times to mean
"against technology" it is also used to describe over- passionate
ignoramuses who ran around England irrationally destroying "new,
mechanized" looms because they were scared of change and losing their
jobs- a general selfish affliction that Conservatives have with change.
