Of course, the "Doubting Thomas" references only point out the True
Believer nature of the entire thing...
Again, this is your arrogance. You assume that the only valid position
is that derived by your interpretation. I'm not a True Believer in any
way, and there's simply far more likelihood that Obama is an
American-born citizen. There's not even enough substance in the
opposition to cast serious doubt. In fact, ALL you have is doubt--that's
it. Not a single shred of supportive evidence for your side. Just
conjecture. I could just as easily use that standard of evidence to
question whether Elvis is dead, since so many people claim to have seen
him post-mortem.
The only logical position is the one Ted arrived at. Ted has doubt.
Supposedly the evidence to dispel that doubt exists. Rather than
provide that evidence, Obama pays legions of lawyers to keep that
"evidence" hidden.
I don't feel that's the only logical position. It is A logical position,
but the flaw in it is that it is arrived at with no concrete evidence,
only doubt. On my side, even if I concede the original document hasn't
been seen (which I don't), I at least have the Certificate of Live
Birth, the sworn word of the Hawaii Dept. of Health, the word of the
Governor of Hawaii, contemporaneous birth announcements in Hawaii
(noting, by the way, their home address)...and his passport, which he
would have had to provide proof of US citizenship/origin to obtain,
since he has never gone through a naturalization or other process
required for non-residents.
By the way, you may want to contact Chris Matthews at MSNBC. I was
mistaken about the picture he showed on-air: it was a copy of the
Certificate with the numbers on it not redacted was all. But he stated
at least twice that he has, in his possession, a picture of the ORIGINAL
birth certificate. That may solve things for birthers, though I doubt
it. Like Paul said, if the original was delivered into the hands of
someone like Rush Limbaugh, he'd declare it a forgery anyway.
Ted still has doubt. You, OTOH, have faith based on what? This isn't a
court of law where Obama has to be show to be fit to serve beyond a
reasonable doubt. This is the requirements for President of the United
States which has to proved beyond any doubt.
See above. It's faith based on some foundation, as well as Occam's
Razor. Isn't it much more likely that the Certificate actually
represents an original in a vault, and not the result of some
47-year-old conspiracy involving his parents, the Hawaii newspapers, the
Hawaii hospitals, the Hawaii Dept. of Health, the Governor of Hawaii,
and the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives?
Fact is, I don't trust Obama.
That's everything right there. That's what the whole thing comes down
to. You don't want to admit that Obama might actually be an honest human
being, so you cleave to this birther theory.
