I'd thought that you had already been responded to regarding the
entire Garcia y Vega line. They are NOT made entirely from
tobacco,..they are NOT made from longfiller tobacco,..they are not
comparable to any hand rolled or hand finished cigar made anywhere, by
anybody. Not sure why you keep harking back to them...you won't find
anyone on ASC who smokes them, so asking for a comparison doesn't make
sense. You also posted that you now understand the difference. Have
you forgotten already ?

Probably. My memory sucks.

I just assume that most smokers, having been a newbie at some point,
tried one or started off with one. No, they're not made from long
filler, but neither are the Principes, which is why I asked about a
comparison. One reason I go back to them is that while they weren't
great those sent to me by ASCers, they were at least inoffensive. When I
bought those Nicaraguans, I found them mostly inoffensive...not
satisfying or memorable, but there for the moment. Unlike the Elegantes
I bought in a pinch, which *were* offensive.

So given that I am not rich, that I like puffing away pretty regularly,
and want to enjoy good ones occasionally, I guess what I am asking when
I compare to G y V is...is it inoffensive? Even if it's bland, will it
make my mouth weep? If not, I can use it for nights in front of a ball
game on TV. I love the idea of saving good ones for, say, weekends with
the barbecue, but I want something serviceable for most nights.

So there you are.

LMAO ! Yes, here I am :) And with a very good explanation ! I still
think that you will have to do quite a bit of your own taste-
testing...at least until you find some folks with similar preferences.
And then yours will change :)

Enjoy :)
