Most excellent explanation of PC as a tool of evil:

So, what.....you're one of those Mac snobs?

<snort>

Hardly. I've been a tool of Wintel since the original IBM PC and
MS-DOS.

SHILL!!!

OTOH, my next computer is going to be a MAC, for sure.

(And no, I don't have the patience or inclination to build a Linux machine
anymore than I have one to do oil changes and tune-ups' on my cars) :~()

Building a Linux machine takes little patience. Unlike Windows, most
Linux distributions today just work. When I picked up my laptop, it
had Vista pre-installed. Within 1 hour of getting it home, it had
Ubuntu fully installed, including an Office Suite and support for all
of the hardware. Getting some wireless adapters or webcams to work
can sometimes take work, but even that is getting more and more rare.

If it weren't for my job, I'd never use Windows again, and I wouldn't
miss it at all. As it is, though, I am quite happy that Windows is so
bad. It keeps me gainfully employed. I make good money because of my
*nix knowledge, but I still work on a fair number of Windows and
Netware servers. The *nix ones rarely have problems outside of
hardware failures.
