In order for a comparison to be an analogy, the similarities have to be somewhat accurate. ASC differs from a bar in th very mportant way that one would not have a justified expectation of a specific topic of debate in a bar. Thus the analogy, in my opinion, is not analogy.

How 'bout this...
Stranger walks into a biker bar, insults all the politically conservative bikers and then complains about the lack of bike related discussion. Bikers stomp the living shit out of stranger and go back to talking about politics.
