Here's one for you, Bart. Can you admit that you and your
interpretation of all things Biblical just may be wrong?

I don't _have_ an interpretation of "all things Biblical."
That's been a huge point in this discussion.

B.

There's dodge #1. Time for a rephrase, then. Can you admit that maybe
your reading of the Bible might be not be correct?

Refusing to answer a trick question is not a "dodge." It's
just good policy. Whether I say "no" or "yes" to your
first phrasing, I'm admitting that I'm standing on some
"interpretation." I'm not willing to admit that in this
context. (That is, in the context of what y'all have
been calling "interpretation.")

For this new phrasing, I'll give a response, but if you
don't like it, count it as 2 or 3 dodges and get on with
whatever cigar swapping you need to do with Misc, because
you're not getting another:

Confessional Lutheranism is one of the few isms that leaves
questions unanswered when we aren't sure of the correct
answer. E.g. We believe that the bread and wine in
Communion is the physical presence of Jesus' body and
blood. End of story. Now there are congregations in
my outfit that take the leftover wine and pour it back
in the bottle. Others pour it down a special drain that
takes it to the earth. Others have the pastor/elders
drink the leftovers. Others dump it down the sink.
Some even go the "tabernacle" route. We don't know
what the right thing to do here is. There's a question of
when does the wine start and stop being the blood of
Christ? (The RC says "never.") We don't have the answer.
There are opinions in my denomination, some of them
strongly held, but we don't have the definitive answer.
So no congregation tells (or ought to tell) another that
they're disposing of the elements incorrectly.

So that's two examples of doctrine. Here's a third:
"Casting of lots is a correct and God-please way to
choose apostles/pastors/elders." Afterall, this is
what what done in Act chapter 1.

Let me number and narrow these:

A. We receive physically the blood of Christ in the sacrament.
B. Leftover wine must not be poured back in the bottle.
C. Praying and then casting lots is the correct Biblical
way to choose church officers.

I'm 100% sure that A is correct. I'm pretty sure (say 80%)
that B. is correct. I used to think C. was correct (99%) but
now I'm 99% sure that I was wrong about it.

So then: Here I'm admitting that I read Acts 1 incorrectly
and that I'm very sure I was incorrect. That should answer
the face value of your question. (And note that at no time
did I "read" it incorrectly, but rather I didn't interpret
it correctly. That is, I thought it meant that we should
do likewise, and now I'm convinced that we shouldn't. My
error had nothing to do with "translation" or cultural
shifts or anything except my unquestioned assumption that
whatever the Apostled did, we ought to copy.)

Further, there are plenty of bits of things
I think I have correct, but I'm not sure of, and in such
a case, I'm willing to admit it, but also willing to defend
why I've come down on this or that side of the issue. So
that should answer your question more.

But you should not infer from that that I don't hold a good
number of beliefs which I am 100% sure about. Nor should
you suppose that me being unsure about some bit of doctrine
or having been wrong about some other bit, somehow ought to
make me unsure of the 100% bits.
