Well for my 61st I decided to take out something that was 'once in a
lifetime cigar". Many years ago ( Boondoggle 3, so it must have been
1998?) I was in the middle of the PNW hospitality suite ( also the
room I slept in!) and Gordon S. walked in and handed me an El Credito
beli stating this was one of Ernie's first rolled cigars when La
Gloria was just being started. Shocked, I put the cigar away and into
the humidor it rested until last night. Yes the wrapper had some
damage, but the cigar was smooth and creamy ( as is most DR cigars I
smoke) with just the touch of "kick" that a well aged LGC has. A firm
white ash and easy draw. I eat my cheesecake and drank my rum and
smiled the entire way through that wonderful cigar. Instead of "airing
out" the room, I left the smell linger in the room so that this
morning when I woke up I could still smell the wonderful aroma of that
pre-LGC beli. Thanks gang for reading this and to ASC , let's just
say " it's not dead yet!"......
Sounds wonderful ... Happy Birthday!
