Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Silver Edition 5 x 50 Robusto ( by my ring gauge )

Origin: Honduras
Filler: Costa Rica, Honduras & Mexico
Binder: Costa Rica
Wrapper: Criollo

Beverage: St Pauli Girl :)

Date received: August 2005
Price: gift

Burn time: 1 hr, 1 minute

Pre light appearance: Some small viens. Punch cut, very easy draw, aroma
very light
Easy light, high volume of smoke, slight peppery flavor 1st few draws.
Michael Phelps just won 7th gold medal by 1/100th of a second

Hints of nutty, woody flavor, slightly uneven burn 1st 1/2 inch mark.

Nice nutty flavor, still high volumes of smoke and still somewhat uneven
burn. 5 minute rest time came back, as if never let rest. A tad on the
bitter side at 1 " mark.

Gray/white ash somewhat flaky. The ash looking ragged at about 2" mark. Some
indescribable pleasant flavor. Still volumes of smoke. Slight hint of sweet
almond.

Half way, this cigar really smoothed out and lost its bitterness. Still high
volume of smoke. Ash still ugly looking, growing outwards beyond the
diameter of the remaining unburnt portion of the cigar.

Oooh. The betrothal unit just gave me a coffee and Kahlua. I would say this
is a medium to strong cigar.

Removed the label. I don't like smoking paper. Still large volumes of smoke.
No noticeable 'nic' kick I expected from this cigar. About 2" left creamy
flavor yet bitter notes sneaking in.

About 1.5" left....Letting this die. Now too bitter for my palate.

I give it a 3.5 of 5

Thanks for the review. I haven't had a Torano in years; if I remember,
they were decent smokes.
