Increase the supply. Shoot the next environazi that raises objections
to drilling or building refineries.

Reduce the need.

I already am.

Simple stuff:

- buy locally grown food; having your fruit and veg flown in from another
continent burns a LOT of hydrocarbons.

I already grow some of my own food.

- drive less; it won't kill you to walk a block or two to the shops or Moe's
Tavern.

There is nothing within walking distance of me except an airport.

- plan your trips; make a list and work through it in one trip rather than
driving to town three times because you keep forgetting stuff.

I drive my car 2 or 3 times a week. My commute consists of walking
from one side of my house to the other. When I do drive, I drive a
small car with a standard transmission, which is far less wasteful
than an automatic tranny.

- redo your home; a little insulation and an efficient wood-fired oven will
do wonders for the fuel bill.

My home is insulated. A wood oven is not practical. I am not going
back to the 1800s, Alex.

- when it comes to driving, the first rule is CHANGE YOUR HABITS. Simply
adapting your driving habits to be more efficient can reduce consumption by
a quarter, so stop revving that engine at the lights.

I stopped that silly stuff 20 years ago.

I'm already fairly efficient. What we need is greater supply and
refining capacity in the hands of people who don't hate us, and aren't
envious of us. IOW, our hands.
