The "New Age" co-opted Hindu and Tibetan mysticism as well as pieces of their respective religions and threw in a smattering of Indian shamanism and even some Zoroastrianism. But that does not mean that Chalko is a "new age" "scientist" any more than it would have made Ghandi one I did a Google search on him too and yeah, he's pretty much a bit player and one whose name I never heard of before. Pray tell could that be why CBS chose him instead of say a leading MIT geo-tectonic geo-physicist to describe how GW increases seismic activity?

Maybe CBS couldn't find a real MIT type that supported Chalko's theory. Global warming is one of todays hot button issues and someone at CBS fucked up and used a whacko to make a non point. They blew it.

It had the desired effect, didn't it? I mean is this thread not proof enough? CBS is about as independent and interested in real journalism as I suppose Pravda was under Khrushchev. If I had to rank them from horrid to merely criminally complicit it would be Fox, ABC, NBS, MSNBC, CNN and CBS.
