Of course the espresso-based "coffee drinks" wiill have a higher
concentration of caffeine, but wouldn't espressos made at the "mom n
pop coffee shops" be more or less the same as Star-schmucks?

All other things being equal, the darker the roast, the lower the
amount of caffeine, because roasting lowers the amount of caffeine.
