Well thank you Joe for having at least a modicum of care and
benevolence for your fellow man.

You appear almost human in that regard. ;-)

Misc on the other hand, a self described "former hippy," has bought

Uh... cite?

I also advocate free clinics -- but voluntary, not mandatory. In fact,
I'm pretty sure that Joe and my attitudes on this issue are nearly
identical.

In addition, I might suggest that this latest post of yours is not
exactly up to the peace, love, understanding and forgiveness that was
the terms of our bet. Do I need to go Google old posts, or do you just
want to concede this one?

(I'm suggesting that falsely accusing another (me, in this case) of
being of the "I've got mine, screw you" ilk is insulting at best,
possibly hateful, depending, and that apologizing after the fact doesn't
even it out, as far as our bet is concerned. Do you disagree?)

And if I ever said I was a "former hippy", I mis-spoke. I'm a
current-hippy :)

Misc "I'm just more subtle, now <G>"
