It is not the job of the Federal Government to buy or provide health
insurance.

It works, it works every day and it works around the world. Just not
here.
We've seen what "free market" greed gets you. Namely this:

http://www.oralchelation.com/calcium/DegenerativeKneeJoint/p28.htm

A society based on "life liberty and the pursuit of happiness" should
join
the modern world and provide for their citizens. A fair society does
not
condemn 18,000 people to death every year because they can't afford to
pay
for their medical care - even when that costs is astronomical and
beyond
the
reach of most people. But if you call being #1 as paying the most for
the
least, well you're positively in capitalistic bliss.

That doesn't change what I said.

Well some of us believe in self governance, even if today it is just a
relic, and would rather hold on to that ideal than to submit to a
governance
by multi-national corporation with its unelected boardrooms which is in
effect what we have now. One's rights should not be determined by a cash
register.

Health care is not a right.

Yes, it is. Health care is a fundamental right. The denial of healthcare
should be a felony.

Paul

You have no rights that depend on the fruits of another's labor.
