I'm sure Ayn Rand would admire the ingenuity of the whole thing.
Paul

Absolutely. She would indeed admire the lawyer in question and
consider him an example for everyone to follow because he's being
driven by the desire to be profitable and that is what makes men
free.

And selfish. Greed is not only good, greed is absolutely necessary.
And
selfishness is a virtue above all else. And this clown is both greedy
and
selfish as a human can possibly be. She'd be on her knees blowing him

Did you two not read, or just not understand Rand...?!

She was disgusted at such ingenuity, which is why the villain in her
book uttered the words, above.

No she was not. She was merely being ironic.

Yes she was, Paul. Taken in context, Misc nailed it.

Your "dislike" for Ayn Rand is destroying your objectivity.

What Ayn Rand would have you
believe is that the vilest aspect of human nature makes for an ideal
philosphy for self advancement. Hard to deny that so long as you also do
not believe in ANY good in people and that they simply possess no higher
angels to appeal to. And to that end there are simply no limits to those
so
blessedwith the gift of abject narcissism. Selfishness is the *only*
motivation in her world. And that is held as a high virtue. She was one
hell of a cynical bitch and she absolutely worshipped greed, power and
money.

Considering she was raised in Russia in the early 1900s and saw first
hand what Democrat... oops, I mean Communist policies can do to a
country when allowed to run rampant, yes, she was cynical.

See this is where I always lose you. You don't even know history for one.
The communists took over Russia in 1917. She was born i n1905 and raised
under Imperialist Russia. Second, you get your jollies equating democrats
with communists and you always conflate socialists with communists proving
you nothing about any of the three.

What she knew of America during her childhood was the Gilded Age. That was
a rather unfortunate time of capitalism run amok and under which we had a
country comprised of a few filthy rich people on one side and desperate
poverty on the other without much in between. We had no middle class during
this period. What we did have was a generation of rampant abuses by
corporatists who brought no prosperity at all to the masses, just misery and
poverty which ultimately led to the Great Depression. That was America's
experience with "free market capitalism" and it was no place you'd have
wanted to call home.

History does repeat itself, as we are on the fast track right back to the
Gilded Age, and those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat
it - and that would be you.

That is what Ayn Rand is all about.

Paul
