Melatonin works for me. One peppermint flavored tablet and I'm out like a
light in 10 minutes. Ambien et al cause hallucinations, it's a common

I have probably a couple of hundred patients on Ambien and have had
very little by way of side effects. However, there are a couple of
times where it exacerbated anxiety or caused mental problems. It's,
in general, a pretty safe drug.

I do agree that melatonin is safer although nothing totally works for
everyone.

I am on a barrel full of medications to try to quiet the symptoms of
Chronic Pancreatitis. Insomnia is a regular side effect of either the
meds or the disease. For me, at least, Ambien has never caused
hallucinations. Only opiods have caused that for me. I refer to them
as "morphine dreams". Sometimes very vivid and difficult to
differentiate from reality.

I'm amazed how screwed-up most of you are. I had read that most ASCers
are over weight and not very good looking and dressed poorly but some
of you really are basket cases. Why on earth would anyone want to
socialize with a group like that?
