Opinions on RASS

I tried my first RASS (at some undisclosed place at some undisclosed
past point in time) and found that it was a unique smoke. It started
out mild with a very nice Cuban twang to it but the finish was very,
very sweet. I took it very easy on it to make sure I didn't overheat
it. About an inch into it the taste got a bit of bitterness to it but
that didn't last either. It finally evened out at about the halfway
mark where it went very mild on me but the Cuban twang that I was
looking for came back.
Was my experience with this one fairly normal? Does this match anyone
else's experience? It was a very nice cigar but I still prefer the
Monte #2's (I've never experienced the inconsistencies others talk
about but I haven't smoked that many of them)
