Best "real" oscuro?......(Lefty?......is that you?)

Greetings all,
About a year and a half ago, in a fit of what can only be
described as delirium-induced-pseudo-health consciousness, I gave away
my tuperdore and about 75 nice sticks. Mostly Punch and Maria Mancini,
all maduro and double maduro, all aged at least two years (don't
even ask about the pipe collection that went in the trash.....my
beautiful 1973 Ben Wade freehand....gaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!). OK, end of
self-pity.
In some wise, I have been returned to partial mental health and
am in the process of rebuilding my stash. The humidor arrived this
morning and is presently "settling in" and cigars should start
appearing late this week. Got some Connies and some Partagas seconds
(OFs) on the way. I'm interested to try some "real" oscuros. By
"real" I mean "black", not the double maduro that some merchants
label as oscuro. I've done the obligatory ASC and google searches, so
I think I have some idea what's out there, but I'm a bit out of
touch.
So, ASC, whats the best "real" oscuro?
Thanks for your advice
(......it just couldn't be the same Lefty with whom I conducted
guerrilla haiku warfare on the JR BB back in the late
'90s............no, it just couldn't be..............)
Glenn
