Hmmm... I don't think so.

Because I can't see what you are. His message looked fine.

I saw the same message twice:

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

------= NextPart etc....
Content-Type: text/plain;
blah

Is there any chat rooms etc...

------= NextPart etc
Content-Type: text/html;
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC
blah
blah for nine lines

then: "Is there any chat rooms... etc"

footer blah.

Just 'cos your newsreader doesn't show it doesn't mean it wasn't posted, and doesn't mean it's not out of place.

The guy's obviously a newb, I've no problem with that, we all start somewhere, and I'm hoping to gently steer him in the right direction. The internet/web is a big place and there are a lot of different ways of exchanging information with people; usenet is one of the oldest and, to a certain extent, is being left behind / ignored, we may do things differently here, but that's because it works best that way.

Plain text, don't top post, trim quoted text. It's no biggy, but it helps you fit in. If the software isn't helping you fit in then we'll try and help you persuade it, we don't want to exclude people (apart from those whose names shan't be mentioned-gets-his@xxxxxxxxx), from what he's said so far, the newb seems like a nice guy and I look forward to his future posts.

Justin.
