This year, Tax Freedom Day arrives April 30 -- two days later than just
a year ago. Indeed, it's a whopping 12 days later than just 2003, when
Tax Freedom Day came on April 18.

Stop whining.
The Tax Freedom Day for the UK is June 1.

Tax Freedom Day makes one thing crystal-clear: government is our biggest
expense by far. Americans work longer to pay for government (120 days)
than for food, clothing and housing (105 days) -- combined.

Is that a net loss, or does this figure take into account money, services or
benefits in kind returned to the citizens?
