Plate tectonics is not a myth. There is hard science, data, and
facts
to back up plate tectonics. BTW, the word you're looking for is
"subducted", not "subsided".

Don't confuse nouns with verbs, dog breath. Subduction as used in
tectonics
is a zone, a thing, a noun. Subsidence is an action, a verb.
