Strength: Med-Full
Finish: Very Long
Age: Sept '01
Source/Price: ChH $209/25
Smoke time: 2 Hours
Drink: Water
Overview: OK...This is good....no great! Yummy.

Bought these a few weeks back and though that I would sit on them a
bit. Heard that Ravi sends his cigars a bit on the wet side.

I brought one of these to a wedding. Clipped it and the darn thing was
plugged. Kept clipping to get past the plug and it became a short
Churchill. Still a tough draw, but could still get some flavor. What
flavor it was! Very nice.

Fast forward to Monday (Memorial Day). Thought that I would try
another. This time is had a great draw. I was happy. Below is what I
think of this cigar.

The first quarter or so on the cigar is quite straight forward. Habanos
flavor...little complexity...tons of smoke. The smoke had a great
aroma. One of the best of any cigar that I have smoked in the past.

After this the cigar got to be more complex...quickly. Habanos flavors
began to become more prevalent. Cocca and spice built as I puffed. I
remarked to my wife at this point that this is one of the best Habanos
that I have smoked in quite some time. Solid.

This cigar reminded me of what is great about these cigars. When they
are good...they are great! I would not hesitate to recommend these
cigars to anyone who really appreciates what can be if a cigar is
blended with great tobacco. They are a more "country" than their richer
cousin "Sir Winston." But they can really rock your world.

Now...any advice as to how to best cure one of these cigars that will
be plugged? I hate to chop away so much of what makes this cigar great
just to get a decent draw. Marc, any tips?

Thanks for the review. I have found CoH stock comes a little dry, if
anything. Maybe that has changed.

Seems the aged stock comes a bit wet, recent stock is right, or just a bit
dry perhaps.
