they've retired to the great old peoples home in the sky but i remember
florida well. i've been to publix. can you say "kvetch"? that's what all

That means that when you get in line EVERYONE must be taking forever
to write checks.
Man, that is the worst, getting behind some old fart that still writes
damn checks at the store.
Actually, I can sort of excuse that, it's "younger" people that still
don't know from a damn ATM card!!
I am that old fart. I always write a check at the grocery store. Other
places, too. :-þ

Why do you still use checks?
They're like a total pain in the ass.
I have one book of checks that has now spanned from late 2004 into
this year. Book, not box of checks.
I pay everything electronically, including our bills.
Much easier to monitor the account that way.
MC as much as I can for the flyer miles. I racked up 4K miles this
morning on ceramic tile for a project.
Yea, that, too.
I use the debit card for most day to day shopping, then the airline
card for other stuff and pay it off.
Holy crap, I could not believe how many miles I accrued in just a
couple years when you add in a few flights on top of it.
