Ursula, If you go to > http://spedr.com/2jzir you'll get Wild Things from wild Ginger and
can download the whole shebang free and get an apron pattern that you can size up to fit you
without any problems. You also get a lot of other free patterns. Even one for hats (big grin).

Yeah, go on, rub it in! I'll make my hat one day, and if I die in the making! Without any pattern from anybody else! I'm a big girl! ;-) Nah, I downloaded the WG stuff already last night, and I'll try another idea on that hat thing; the ones they have there aren't what I have in mind. As for the apron, I'll go for simple rectangular with darts and a strap slider (see other replies).

The pattern I used for my sister in law was for one that didn't need ties. I have to look it up and I'll get back to you with it. It did come in one size only and you would have to alter it to fit you.
Ursula, here's the link to the apron I made.

scroll down the page to the pictures on the left. The picture is the one on the bottom right set of pictures.

That one is another option. It brought to my mind that toddler's apron of Joy's. Currently, I find that my body has rather toddler like proportions and I'll be bold and try altering Joy's pattern for my purposes; a bit longer, larger arm scye, and the straps a bit more narrow. Thanks for the good idea!
