If you're looking at changing your news reader, you might like to take a
gander at 40tude Dialogue. I've been using it for several years now. As
with all new software there's a learning curve to go through, but it's
soooo customizable. I probably don't use half of it's capabilities, I've
learned enough about it to meet my requirements, and can't be bothered to
get into the finer detail.

Th'only downside, the original developer seems to have gone to ground a
couple of years ago, although there are several enthusiasts who are
continuing development.
