Been to the sewing machine repair shop today...

.... and had a great time. Well, sort of, since I had DD with me, and they
closed at 12:30 and I arrived there at 12:25. (You know, the usual struggle
which shoes to wear, getting the bundle of food, entertainment and hygiene
things packed and the car loaded with sewing machines, kid, bundle etc.) The
weather was (is) lovely and so we enjoyed the 45 km-drive across the Ruhr
area.
However, I think it was worth it. The guy is from Russia and a graduate
enigneer (I forgot to ask for what, though); he was quite fond of the two
machines I brought, mom's Elna and my 'new' Husqvarna. He summed up the
entire thing with 'everything will be all right'. Nice to hear. He has also
a large assortment of buttons and borders and other notions. I'll take a
closer look when I pick up the machines. When I told him of my latest
acquisition, the ALDI serger, he was less pleased and warned me that I'd
'break my legs' with that one. Well, I'll try it anyway, and then, if it's
crap, I'll sell it on Ebay. So that's that, I just had to share...
