******HUGS******

Thank you! It's the nasty migraine again, I found out. But I'm grateful for
hugs, nevertheless.

When I was a child and there were very few things that were decent to eat
(because my mom was a horrible cook for the most part and all of us
children have serious weight problems -- I think it's because we never
learned to listen to our bodies to say when we had had enough to eat
because no matter how much we ate, our taste buds were screaming they
hadn't had anything), the only two things that were in the house that were
good to eat (aside from fresh fruit that she kept in stock when it was in
season) was ice cream and toast with butter and cinnamon sugar. They are
both trigger foods to me, and I try to stay away from them. I can
understand the butter on toast thing, I really can. Spent a lot of time
being diagnosed as severely clinically depressed, except that it ended up
being a whacked thyroid and on thyroid medication I feel wonderful. But I
still remember the feeling.

Oh dear, that must have been horrible. But I can relate; although my mom was
a decent cook I, too, have no ears for my body, so to say. I try to listen,
and sometimes I succeed, but mostly not. Another very bad trigger is fried
bread with strawberry jam on it. We had that when on vacation in Ireland as
kids, and there they had the slightly salted butter in which my mom fried
the anglo-saxon style white bread (previously unknown to a kid from
sour-dough-rye-bread-land). Oh no, I better stop now. ;-) My thyroid gland
is under medical supervision (shrivelled up, though, Hashimoto thyroiditis)
but I fear menopause is announcing itself, should perhaps go and see a doc
about it. Gotta go, the fairy from hell is awake again.

U. ;-)
