Not having a passport to go to a place that was easy to
get to in the past can be a hassle.
NY has a special driver's license now that can be
obtained to cross the border to Canada, from NY. It cost
more than a regular license but less than a passport. I'm
sorry you'll be missing the next competition.

I had the date on my calendar, I just forgot about the new
passport requirement. Sad, I have been back and forth to
Canada many, many times in the last 48 years. I just
ordered a copy of my birth certificate, so I'll get my
passport soon. I thought I had a birth certificate in the
safe-deposit box, but nope. :-}

BTW I had lunch at the Captains Table last Tuesday.My CC
neighbor and I went fun shopping and out to lunch.

I hope your lunch was nice. We loved our dinner there two
years ago, we were able to sit outside, and the food and
service were great.
