Without seeing it, I'd bet you need to remove the needle, and the bobbin, and clean out a bird's nest down in there, then clean and oil the machine. Just a guess.

I took out the bobbin and cleaned around that,but haven't gotten to the needle yet. I think it needs a good oiling and with the guide you linked me to I'll be able to get to that tomorrow.I find that a lot more fun than cleaning up my computer.Thanks for the info.
