I wanted to give you an update on the zipper tarnishing
and let you know that I ended up soaking the zipper in
vinegar for about a day. It changed the shiny finish just
enough to blend with the pocket zippers and now that it's
in the jacket looks fine. I also waxed the zipper to make
sure it works easily after the soaking.
DGD (2 1/2) is very happy with her "new" jacket that
grandma fixed for her. My reputation is saved once more
thanks to the help I get here.
