Last fall I bought four T-shirts on end-of-summer closeout
from the Eddie Bauer outlet store near me, two were a
gorgeous slate blue, two black. I didn't really care what
the second size in each color was because I intended to use
the body to cut new sleeves for the ones which did fit me.
Today, I removed the sleeves (not difficult if you know
which threads of the 4-thread serging to pull) from the good
blue shirt, used a sleeve as a pattern to cut new 2" longer
sleeves from the body of the extra shirt, serged them in
place, et voila! I have a V-neck T-shirt in a lovely color
which fits the way *I* like...and for under $6.00 total.
Can't buy decent knit yardage for that price. ;-) I'll get
the black one done next week.

Great job! You especially couldn't buy knit yardage of the quality they use
to make EB t-shirts. Those are always so very nice.
