Yes, they're _really_ hard to make!!!

When we were young and really poor (with five small children) and Spouse had
cleaned up the old motorbike which used to be his dad's he found winter
riding to word very cold and wet. We acquired - no idea how - some blue
fabric-backed plastic and I made him a very basic riding suit. I didn't have
a pattern. It did the job and he was grateful for it but these days it would
have been mocked, it was so 'uncool'. Mind you, as our children grew up the
boys especially remembered it fondly*. He wore it with his dad's peaked cork
helmet too, that WAS cool :-) Still have it but of course it's illegal.

Wouldn't like to tackle a wet suit though ...
