I've got a question for everyone...

For Christmas this year I recieved a Singer Inspiration 4228 and I've been
trying for months now to get it to where I could sew my problem is when
I'm sewing I cant even make one stitch and the top thread is all tangled
up well, I've been working on it for a while today and I finally got it to
where the top thread isn't messing up now but now my problem is my bobbin
is not turning at all...If anyone has any suggesstions please let me know.
