I used coats and singer thread for the longest time now because
it was cheap, available at wally world plus wally mart and i
poo-poo'ed the thread quality and stitch quality issues *BUT* ,
curious and weary of thread dust, i recently bought some
gutterman and mettler from the local sew retailer. As little as i
sew i noticed a difference immediately including less thread dust
in the bobbin case.
so i guess i am a convert unless one of my old singer boxes
chokes on the new fangled thread then i will feed it the coats or
singer thread :) Rob
Coats used to be a very good brand, but no longer is as good as it was in the past. Now there are still people who use it all the time without problems. I'm glad you are happy with the change. Just don't keep anything around that's really old. It's past it's prime. But then again so am I and I'd be very unhappy if I was dumped for that reason.
