Cool! I have a pattern *very* similar to this that I was thinking of
trying with another fabric (also slightly stretchy). Good thing that
you jolted my memory! I can make it up in the pink fabric, tweaking
the pattern as needed, and then make it in the stretch velvet. I have
a LOT of the pink so I feel safer starting with that and I have plenty
of time between now and Nov. 1st.
